Born to conquer the tracks, he fearlessly took on some of the most challenging races in history. In 1950, Arnold Jones showcased his prowess by participating in the Junior TT race astride The Wooler. This was just the beginning of his illustrious career as he went on to compete in various iconic races throughout the years. Teaming up with John Dale (AJS), Arnold Jones proved himself once again at the 1950 Junior TT event riding a Norton bike. His determination and talent were evident as he crossed that finish line amidst thunderous applause from spectators. The year 1954 witnessed another remarkable performance by Arnold Jones when he rode a 250 DKW at Silverstone Saturday. Pushing boundaries and defying limits seemed to be his forte as he effortlessly maneuvered through each turn. But it was in 1955 that Arnold truly shone bright. In both the Senior TT race aboard Matchless and Junior TT race astride AJS, he displayed unmatched skill and tenacity. These victories solidified his status as one of the greatest racers of his time. Never one to rest on past glories, Arnold continued to dominate in subsequent years. He triumphed at events like the Lightweight TT riding LMA Special (1957) and Guzzi (1950). Each win added another chapter to his extraordinary legacy. Arnold's final appearance came in 1957 when he competed with M&F Excelsior at Lightweight TT - leaving fans awestruck by his sheer determination till the very end. Today, we remember Arnold Jones not only for his unparalleled achievements but also for embodying what it means to be a true racer – fearless, relentless, and always pushing beyond limits.
