"Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers Return Home to Warm Embraces and Grateful Hearts" In a heartwarming reunion, Oregon Army National Guard Lt. Col. Brian A. Dukes, commander of the 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Squadron, led his troops back home after a deployment in Poland. As they stepped off the plane at Jackson airport, their family members and co-workers eagerly awaited their return. The scene was filled with anticipation as Oregon Army National Guard family members gathered together, anxiously looking for any sign of Alpha Troop's arrival. The wait seemed endless, but finally, cheers erupted as the soldiers made their way towards their loved ones. Tears flowed freely as family members embraced and greeted these brave men and women who had been away for months serving our country overseas. It was a moment of pure joy and relief knowing that they were finally safe on American soil again. The bond between these soldiers and their families is unbreakable; it is evident in every tight hug shared at that emotional homecoming event. The sacrifices made by both sides were acknowledged in those heartfelt embraces - sacrifices of time spent apart from loved ones and the constant worry endured during deployments. As each soldier reunited with their families at Jackson airport, gratitude filled the air alongside tears of happiness. These moments serve as a reminder of the unwavering support that exists within military communities – an unspoken understanding among those left behind while heroes are deployed. The Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to Alpha Troop have returned home victorious from Poland with heads held high. This heartwarming reunion reminds us all of the immense bravery displayed by our servicemen and women who selflessly protect our nation day in and day out.
