"Aidan MacCormick: Capturing the Beauty of Scotland's Natural Wonders" In July 2015, Aidan MacCormick embarked on a breathtaking journey to the Islands of Boreray and Stac Lee in St Kilda, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Armed with his camera, he captured an awe-inspiring image of a lone Scots pine tree standing tall against a backdrop of mesmerizing star trails with the north star shining brightly above. Continuing his exploration, Aidan encountered an enchanting scene where puffins and razorbills gracefully roamed around Eilean Mhuire. The picturesque view showcased these charming seabirds amidst the stunning beauty of their habitat. As autumn arrived in October 2015, Aidan found himself captivated by Corra Linn waterfall at Falls of Clyde in Lanarkshire. The late autumn colors added a touch of magic to this natural wonder as water cascaded down with incredible force. Moving further westward, Aidan discovered cotton grass flourishing on Garbh Eilean while the majestic Isle of Lewis loomed behind it. This juxtaposition highlighted nature's resilience and its ability to thrive even in challenging environments. Aidan's lens then shifted towards Aviemore within Cairngorms National Park where he encountered a female reindeer roaming freely amidst breathtaking landscapes. This encounter reminded him that harmony between wildlife and humans is possible when we respect nature's delicate balance. Venturing into Clonaig during summer brought forth another captivating sight—a stream overflowing through native oak woodland. The lush greenery mirrored in its glistening waters created an idyllic scene that exemplified Scotland's rich biodiversity. At dawn on the shores of Sior Loch, Aidan stumbled upon a hooded crow nest nestled within a willow tree—an intimate moment frozen in time that celebrated life's simple pleasures and the wonders hidden within our surroundings.
