Snow on courtyard in Dragon King rear temple of Huanglong Temple buildings, Huanglong National Park, Sichuan Province, China
Huang Long Buddhist Temple (Yellow Dragon Temple) lies at the foot of Snow Treasure Peak, the major peak of Mt. Minshan. The whole temple consists of three small ones; the front, the middle and the rear temples, which mark the head, the waist and the tail of a dragon respectively, going all the way down the valley. The front temple has almost been ruined. The middle temple has five halls remaining, to worship the Goddess of Mercy, and the 18 arhats (spiritual practitioners who have realized certain high stages of attainment). As for the rear temple, it enshrines the Dragon King

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the serene beauty of the Dragon King rear temple courtyard in Huanglong National Park, Sichuan Province, China. The snow-covered landscape adds a touch of enchantment to this ancient Buddhist temple complex. Known as Huang Long Buddhist Temple or Yellow Dragon Temple, it is nestled at the foot of Snow Treasure Peak, the highest peak of Mt. Minshan. The entire temple is divided into three smaller ones: the front, middle, and rear temples symbolizing the head, waist, and tail of a dragon respectively. While time has taken its toll on the front temple which lies in ruins today, the middle temple still stands strong with five halls dedicated to worshipping both the Goddess of Mercy and 18 arhats - revered spiritual practitioners who have attained great enlightenment. However, it is within the rear temple that lies true reverence for nature's power. Here resides an enshrined statue of Dragon King himself. Surrounded by pristine white snowflakes gently falling from above against a backdrop of majestic mountains and untouched wilderness; this scene evokes a sense of tranquility and awe-inspiring wonder. The architectural grandeur combined with Tibetan cultural influences make this UNESCO World Heritage site truly remarkable. As you gaze upon this photograph print by Gallo Images from Fine Art Storehouse, let yourself be transported to a world where spirituality meets natural splendor amidst cold temperatures and peaceful solitude – an experience only found in Huanglong National Park's Dragon King rear temple courtyard.
