This stunning print captures a collection of exquisite miniatures, each one telling a unique story from different eras. From left to right, we see the portrait of James, Duke of York in 1661 by Samuel Cooper, exuding regal elegance and power. Next is Sir William Portman by Richard Gibson, his gaze intense and captivating.
Moving on to Susannah, Lady Dormer painted around 1672 by Matthew Snelling, her beauty and grace shining through the delicate brushstrokes. Alongside her is Sir John Dormer also by Matthew Snelling, his expression thoughtful and contemplative.
Eleanor Brownlow in circa 1710 by Christian Richter appears poised and sophisticated while the young girl from 1775 by Samuel Cotes embodies innocence and youthfulness. The portrait of Evelyn Pierrepont, 1st Duke of Kingston upon Hull painted in the 18th century by B. Arlaud exudes authority and wisdom.
