EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a historic pair of ear pendants dating back to the 18th century. Crafted by the Russian School, these exquisite earrings feature a stunning combination of amethysts, diamonds, silver, and gold. Measuring at a length of 5.4 cm, they are truly a sight to behold. The girandole design of these ear pendants is adorned with three pear-shaped amethyst drops that elegantly dangle from a diamond foliate motif. Atop each earring sits an octagonal amethyst and diamond cluster surmount, adding an extra touch of regal beauty. These precious jewels hold great significance as they were among the first amethysts procured in the Ural region during Peter the Great's reign in Russia between 1750-1760. The deep purple hue of Siberian amethysts became highly prized and symbolized imperial luxury. With their bright colors and intricate craftsmanship, these ear pendants are not only valuable pieces of jewelry but also works of art. They represent the rich history and opulence associated with royal adornments. This print captures every detail of these remarkable earrings, allowing us to appreciate their beauty even centuries later. It serves as a reminder that fine jewelry has always been cherished for its ability to enhance one's appearance while embodying elegance and sophistication.
