The view is taken from the raised western tree avenue of the Park's lower parterre (now surfaced and known as Jubilee Walk), looking north over the west colonnade of the Greenwich Hospital School (now the NMM) towards the Queen Mary Court of Greenwich Hospital (Old Royal Naval College). The Queen's House is just visible on the right and the masts of the school's drill ship 'Fame' rise just beyond it to the north, though shown more as if projecting above the Hospital buildings from some vessel in the river, which would not be possible to such a height from this angle.); © National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London
