Questa stampa fotografica dell'opera "Sulla produzione di armi per la Repubblica di Venezia" di Carlo Camozzi di Bergamo (fl.1712), manoscritto illustrato in italiano e latino su carta, realizzata a Venezia nella prima metà del XVIII secolo, ci offre uno sguardo prezioso sulla produzione di cannoni e armi per la Serenissima. I documenti contenuti riguardano gli accordi tra i Provveditori degli Arsenali veneziani e Giovanni Camozzi di Bergamo, specificando le quantità di cannoni e munizioni da produrre nel corso di dodici anni, i test effettuati a Brescia, il controllo qualità e la costruzione della 'Fabrica'. Si tratta quindi non solo di un documento storico ma anche tecnico dettagliato che ci permette di comprendere meglio il processo produttivo delle armi durante quel periodo.
Hic photographiae impressio operis "De fabricandis tormentis pro Republica Veneta" ab Carolo Camotio Bergomensium (fl. 1712) scripto illustrata in lingua Italica et Latina super chartam facta est Venetiis saeculo XVIII ineunte nobis spectaculum praebet pretiosum de productione tormentorum armorumque ad Serenissimam Respublicam pertinentium. Documenta continent pacta inter Provisores Arsenaliorum Venetiarum ac Ioannem Camotium Bergomensium quae quantitates tormentorum et telorum productarum duodecim annos definitas describunt examina apud Brixiam facta qualitatemque controllo fabrice condendae indicant. Itaque opus historico-technicum accurate descriptum habemus quod processus productionis armorum illius temporis melius intellegere permittit.
