Composed by Jullien, Louis Antoine Jullien (1812-1860) musician; publisher/printer. Composer of popular music, dances, operas and ballets (e.g. Le Prophete'), conductor and music publisher. Studied at the Paris Conservatoire in 1833-36; but in 1839 was forced to flee Paris to escape his creditors and pursued his career in Great Britain and the United States.
Illustrated by John Brandard (1812-1863) Victorian lithographer, engraver and illustrator; brother of Robert and Edward Brandard.
Published by Jullien & Co. at the Royal Musical Conservatory 214 Regent Street & 45 King Street, London.
The Great Exhibition was popularised in many way, in games, commemorative ceramics, clay pipes and music sheets.
