This ship portrait depicts the 'Wakende Boei' from the starboard quarter. The ship's tafferel is left almost completely blank. Above it are the Arms of Amsterdam, which are seen flanked between two dolphins. There is a rampant lion on a shield between the two slingerlijsts. There is another shield on the upper counter and on the lower counter is one of the two shields which indicates the Admiralty of Amsterdam.
