Stanmore Collection

Stanmore is a suburban town in the London Borough of Harrow, Middlesex, England and is situated approximately 11 miles northwest of Charing Cross and is part of the Greater London Urban Area. A population of around 12,000 people and covers an area of 5.5 square miles. The town has a long history dating back to Saxon times when it was known as 'Stanmere'. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book and later became home to Stanmore Priory which was founded by Henry I in 1129 AD. Today Stanmore is primarily residential with some commercial activity mainly centred around its High Street which features a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. The area also boasts several parks including Stanmore Common which offers stunning views across London from its highest point - Warren Lane Hill - at 265 feet above sea level.
