Irlam Collection

Irlam is a town in Manchester, England, located in the Metropolitan Borough of Salford, and is situated on the south bank of the River Irwell and has a population of around 15,000 people. The area was historically part of Lancashire until 1974 when it became part of Greater Manchester. Irlam has been inhabited since at least the 11th century and was an important centre for coal mining during the Industrial Revolution.
