Richmond Bridge Collection

Richmond Bridge is a Grade II listed bridge located in London, England. It spans the River Thames and connects Richmond on the south bank with Twickenham on the north bank. The bridge was designed by James Paine and Kenton Couse, and was built between 1774-1777, and is a three-span stone arch structure with two pedestrian walkways running along either side of the roadway. The bridge has been described as one of the most elegant bridges in England, due to its graceful design and its location at a bend in the river. Richmond Bridge has been used for centuries as an important crossing point for both pedestrians and vehicles travelling between London and towns further west such as Kingston upon Thames or Hampton Court Palace.
