The village has a population of around 500 people and is home to several historic buildings such as St. John’s Church which dates back to 1845. It also has an old school house which was built in 1854 and still stands today. There are two pubs in the village; The Red Lion Inn and The White Hart Inn both of which serve traditional English ales as well as food.
