Gers Collection

Gers is a rural department in the Midi-Pyrenees region of southwestern France, and is bordered by the departments of Tarn-et-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Haute Garonne, Tarn and Aveyron. The capital city is Auch, which also serves as the prefecture for Gers. The department has an area of 8,000 square kilometers and a population of approximately 160,000 people.
