Aisne is a canton located in the Picardy region of France, and is bordered by the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais to the north, Oise to the east, Aube to the southeast, Marne to the south and Somme to the west. The capital city is Laon. The population was estimated at 511,000 in 2017. The economy relies heavily on agriculture and tourism.
