Pietro Torrigiano Collection

Pietro Torrigiano was an Italian sculptor and painter of the High Renaissance. He was born in Florence in 1472 and is best known for his sculptures of religious figures, such as the Pietà at Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome. He also created a number of portrait busts, including one of Michelangelo, which is now housed at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
