Peter Tillemans is an artist and art educator who has been working in the field of visual arts for over 25 years. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria, and a Master of Education from UBC. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries across Canada and internationally, including the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Power Plant (Toronto), The National Gallery (Ottawa), The Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles) and more. He also teaches art classes at Emily Carr University, Langara College, Capilano University and other institutions throughout British Columbia. Peter's work focuses on exploring themes such as identity, memory, place and cultural diversity through painting, drawing and mixed media installations. He believes that art can be used to create meaningful connections between people while inspiring them to think critically about their environment.
