Aretino Luca Spinello, also known as Spinelli, was an Italian Renaissance painter and sculptor from Arezzo. He is best known for his frescoes in the Chapel of San Francesco in Arezzo and for his altarpiece of the Madonna della Misericordia. He was a student of Fra Bartolomeo and influenced by Andrea del Sarto. His style combined elements of Mannerism with a more classical approach to composition. His works often featured religious themes, but he also painted portraits and mythological scenes. He died in 1548 at the age of fifty-four, leaving behind a legacy that continues to be admired today.
