Gerard van Spaendonck Collection

Gerard van Spaendonck (1746-1822) was a Dutch painter and botanist. He was born in Tilburg, Netherlands, and is best known for his still life paintings of flowers. He studied under the French painter Claude Joseph Vernet and later became a professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
