George Sanders Collection

George Sanders was an English actor, singer, and author best known for his roles in films such as All About Eve (1950), The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945), and Rebecca (1940). He was also the voice of Shere Khan in Disney's The Jungle Book (1967). Sanders won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in All About Eve. He was a member of the British Actors' Equity Association and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He wrote several books, including Memoirs of a Professional Cad and A Talent to Amuse. Sanders had a long career on stage, film, television, radio, and even cartoons. His performances were often praised by critics as being witty and sophisticated. His last performance was in 1973's Live And Let Die. George Sanders passed away at age 65 due to suicide by barbiturate overdose.
