Charles Marion Russell Collection

Charles Marion Russell, also known as C.M. Russell or "Kid" Russell, was an American artist and sculptor who specialized in the Old West. He was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1864 and raised on a farm near Great Falls, Montana. His art depicted the life of cowboys and Native Americans of the American West with a great deal of accuracy and detail. He worked mainly with oil paints but also used watercolors, charcoal drawings and sculptures to capture his subjects. His works are highly sought after by collectors for their historical value as well as their aesthetic beauty.
