Henri Alexandre Georges Regnault (1843-1871) was a French painter and sculptor. He was born in Paris, France and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. His works were mainly inspired by classical mythology, with themes such as Bacchus, Venus and Cupid being recurring subjects. He also painted scenes from everyday life in Paris, as well as portraits of his contemporaries.
