Kano Naonobu Collection

Kano Naonobu was a Japanese artist of the Edo period, active from 1650 to 1710. He is best known for his paintings of landscapes and birds-and-flowers. His work is characterized by its delicate brushwork and subtle use of color. Naonobu was born in Kyoto, but he spent much of his life in Edo (modern Tokyo). He studied under Kano Tanyu and Kano Yasunobu, two leading members of the Kano school.
