George Lambert Collection

He was born in Sydney in 1873 and studied at the Royal Art Society of New South Wales before traveling to Europe to further his studies. His work was influenced by Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, as well as the works of JMW Turner. He returned to Australia in 1910 and exhibited widely throughout the country until his death in 1930.
