Haynes King Collection

Haynes King (1891-1966) was an American artist who is best known for his landscape paintings. He was born in North Carolina and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. After graduating, he moved to New York City and worked as a commercial artist before eventually becoming a full-time painter. His works are characterized by their vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes, often depicting scenes from rural America or the American West. King's works were exhibited widely in galleries throughout the United States during his lifetime, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., among others.
