Herman Hiller is an artist and arts educator based in New York City. He has been creating art for over 40 years and has exhibited his work in galleries, museums, and public spaces throughout the United States. His artwork focuses on themes of identity, culture, history, memory, and transformation. He uses a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture and installation to explore these topics. Hiller also teaches art classes at various institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. In addition to teaching classes he also leads workshops that focus on creativity and self-expression through art making.
