Paul Frenzeny Collection

Paul Frenzeny was a French artist born in 1837. He is best known for his works in the Orientalist style, which depicted scenes from North Africa and the Middle East. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and traveled extensively throughout his life, visiting places such as Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Turkey. His works were exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1864 to 1876 and he received several awards for his artworks. He also worked as an illustrator for various publications including L'Illustration magazine.
