Agostino Carracci (1557-1602) was an Italian painter and printmaker of the Baroque period. He was a major figure in the development of the Bolognese school of painting, which focused on naturalism and realism. Along with his cousins, Annibale and Ludovico Carracci, Agostino helped to revive the art of painting in Italy during this time period.
