Antoine Berjon Collection

Antoine Berjon is a French artist and sculptor who was born in 1754 and died in 1843. He was a student of the painter Joseph-Marie Vien and the sculptor Augustin Pajou. He is best known for his sculptures of mythological figures, such as Cupid, Psyche, Apollo, Venus, and Diana. His works were often praised for their realism and attention to detail. Berjon also created several busts of famous people such as Voltaire, Napoleon Bonaparte, Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI, and many others. In addition to his sculptures he also painted portraits of prominent figures from the French Revolution era including Robespierre and Marat.
