The occasion was the FA Cup 4th Round match against Cardiff City, where Arsenal emerged victorious with a convincing 4-0 scoreline. Eduardo, who joined Arsenal in 2006, was a fan favorite for his skillful play and determination on the pitch. However, his Arsenal career was cut short in February 2009 when he suffered a horrific leg injury during a Premier League match against Birmingham City. His recovery was a long and arduous process, and he made his return to the pitch in this very FA Cup match against Cardiff City. As Eduardo was substituted off, his teammates and coaches gathered around him to offer their support and congratulations on his successful comeback. Among them was Fabregas, who had grown up with Eduardo in Catalonia, Spain, and had played with him at Arsenal since 2003.
