River Jack Collection

River Jack is a type of snake found in the southeastern United States, and is a non-venomous constrictor that can reach lengths up to six feet, and are generally olive green or brown in color with dark brown or black markings along their back and sides. They have large eyes and a wide head, which helps them to detect prey from far away. They feed on small mammals, birds, amphibians, and other reptiles, and are active during the day and prefer habitats near water sources such as rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, swamps and marshes, and are excellent swimmers and can stay underwater for long periods of time while hunting for food. In captivity they require an enclosure with plenty of hiding places as well as access to water for swimming. With proper care they make great pets that can live up to 20 years in captivity.
