Green Anaconda Collection

The green anaconda is a large, non-venomous snake found in South America, and is the heaviest and one of the longest snakes in the world, reaching up to 30 feet in length and weighing up to 550 pounds. Its body is covered with olive green scales that are marked with black or dark brown patches. The head of this species is triangular and its eyes are yellowish-gold and has strong jaws and sharp teeth for gripping prey, which includes fish, birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and other small animals. Green anacondas live near water sources such as swamps or rivers where they can find food easily. They spend most of their time swimming or resting on branches overhanging water bodies, and are solitary creatures but may come together during mating season when males compete for females by wrestling each other using their powerful coils until one gives up or drowns in exhaustion.
