Ariel Collection

Ariel (Vespertilionidae) is a family of small to medium-sized mammals in the order Chiroptera, and are commonly known as bats and are found all over the world, except in Antarctica. Ariel species range in size from the tiny pipistrelle bat, which weighs only 2 grams, to the giant flying fox bat, which can weigh up to 1.5 kilograms. They feed on insects and other small animals such as frogs and lizards. Bats have a wide variety of habitats including caves, forests, deserts and even urban areas. They play an important role in ecosystems by controlling insect populations and pollinating plants. Bats also provide humans with valuable resources such as guano for fertilizer and leather for clothing production. Ariel bats have adapted well to human activities but face threats from habitat destruction due to deforestation or urbanization as well as hunting for food or sport. Conservation efforts are needed to ensure their continued survival into the future.
