Californian Sea Lion Collection

The Californian Sea Lion (Otariidae) is a type of marine mammal found along the coast of California and in parts of Mexico, and are part of the eared seal family, which includes fur seals and sea lions, and are large animals, reaching up to 8 feet in length and weighing up to 600 pounds. They have a thick coat of brown fur that helps them stay warm in cold water. Their diet consists mainly of fish, squid, octopus, and crustaceans. They use their strong front flippers to swim with great speed and agility while hunting for food or avoiding predators like sharks or orcas. In addition to being excellent swimmers they can also walk on land using all four flippers as well as bark loudly when threatened or communicating with other sea lions. These social animals live in large groups known as “rafts” which can contain hundreds or even thousands of individuals at once.
