Grandis Collection

Grandis is a genus of muridae mammals belonging to the family Muridae. It includes two species, the common grandis (Grandis grandis) and the lesser grandis (Grandis minor). These animals are found in tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australia, and are small rodents with long tails and short ears. They have a grayish-brown fur color with white patches on their faces and legs. Grandis feed mainly on fruits, nuts, seeds, insects and other small animals, and are active during the day but can be seen foraging at night as well. Grandis live in burrows or nests that they build themselves in trees or underground depending on their habitat preference. These animals play an important role in seed dispersal as they carry fruits from one place to another which helps spread plant diversity across different ecosystems.
