Agilis Collection

Agilis (Macropodidae) is a genus of macropodid mammals, which includes the agile wallaby and the red-necked wallaby. These animals are found in Australia, New Guinea and some nearby islands, and are small to medium-sized marsupials with a stocky body shape and long legs for jumping. They have thick fur that is usually gray or brown in color, with white patches on their faces, feet and bellies. They feed mainly on grasses and shrubs but also eat fruits, flowers and insects when available. Agilis live in groups of up to 20 individuals that occupy territories of up to 1 km2 each, and are active during the day but can be seen at night as well. They use their strong hind legs for jumping over obstacles such as fences or walls when escaping predators or searching for food sources.
