Leopard Collection

Leopards are large cats that live in Africa, Asia, and parts of the Middle East. They have a tawny yellow coat with black spots and rosettes, and are solitary animals and spend most of their time alone. They hunt at night, using their excellent eyesight to spot prey from a distance and can climb trees and swim well, making them very adaptable hunters. They feed on small mammals such as rabbits, birds, reptiles and even fish and are known for their strength; they can drag prey up to three times their own body weight up into trees to keep it safe from other predators or scavengers. Despite being powerful hunters they can classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching for their fur or body parts used in traditional medicine. Conservation efforts have been made to protect this species from further decline in numbers.
