Javanica Collection

Javanica is a species of mammal belonging to the family Herpestidae, commonly known as mongooses, and are native to Southeast Asia and inhabit tropical forests, grasslands, and mangroves and can small animals with a body length of up to 24 inches and weigh up to 3 pounds. They have short fur that can be grayish-brown or reddish-brown in color with lighter underparts and can omnivores that feed on small mammals, birds, eggs, insects, reptiles and fruits. They also help control rodent populations by preying on them. Javanica live in groups of 2-20 individuals and communicate through vocalizations such as chirps and whistles. These animals are solitary hunters but will cooperate when necessary for food or protection from predators such as snakes or raptors. Javanica play an important role in their ecosystems by controlling pest populations which helps maintain balance in the environment.
