Fusca Collection

Fusca is a species of small mammal belonging to the Herpestidae family, and is native to parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe and is also known as the white-tailed mongoose. A long body with short legs and a tail that can be up to twice its body length. Its fur is usually grayish-brown in color with white markings on its head, neck, chest, and tail. It feeds mainly on insects but will also eat small rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fruits, berries and eggs. Fusca lives in burrows or crevices in rocks or trees where it can hide from predators such as birds of prey or large cats, and is an active animal during the day but will rest at night when temperatures drop below freezing. Fusca plays an important role in controlling insect populations which helps maintain healthy ecosystems throughout its range.
