Griseus Collection

Griseus, also known as the Chinese hamster, is a species of small mammal in the family Cricetidae, and is native to northern China and Mongolia and has been introduced to other parts of the world and can typically around 4-5 inches long with a grayish-brown fur coat and black stripes running down their back, and are omnivorous animals, eating both plant material such as seeds, fruits, and vegetables as well as insects and can solitary creatures that live in burrows underground or in dense vegetation during the day; at night they come out to forage for food. They have short lifespans of only 2-3 years due to predation by larger animals such as cats or owls, and are make good pets if given enough space and enrichment activities; they can be kept in cages with plenty of hiding places and toys to keep them entertained.
