Guereza Collection

Guereza are a species of Old World monkeys found in the forests of Africa. They have long, black fur with white patches on their faces, and they can reach up to two feet in length, and are social animals that live in groups of up to 30 individuals. They feed mainly on fruits and leaves, but will also eat insects and small vertebrates when available, and are arboreal animals that spend most of their time in the trees, but will come down to the ground to forage for food or drink from water sources. Guerezas communicate with each other through vocalizations such as barks, screams, and grunts. Their populations have been declining due to habitat loss and hunting by humans; however conservation efforts are being made to protect them from further decline.
