Grivet Monkey Collection

Grivet Monkey is a species of Old World monkeys that are native to Africa, and are medium-sized primates, with adults weighing up to 10 kg and measuring up to 60 cm in length. Grivet Monkeys have a black face and body, with white fur on their chest and belly. They live in tropical forests, savannas, woodlands and mangroves, where they feed on fruits, leaves, insects and other small animals. Grivet Monkeys live in troops of up to 30 individuals led by an alpha male. They communicate through vocalizations such as barks or screams when threatened or alarmed and are known for their intelligence; they can use tools to access food sources that would otherwise be inaccessible. As human populations expand into their habitats, these primates are becoming increasingly threatened by habitat loss and hunting for bushmeat or the pet trade.
