Diana Monkey Collection

Diana monkeys (Cercopithecidae) are a species of Old World primates found in the tropical rainforests of West and Central Africa. They have an olive-gray coat with a white stripe running down their back, and they have long tails that can be up to twice as long as their body length. Diana monkeys live in small groups of up to 12 individuals, and they feed mainly on fruits, leaves, flowers, buds, insects and other invertebrates, and are diurnal animals that spend most of the day foraging for food or resting in trees and are known for their loud vocalizations which can be heard from miles away. These primates are threatened by habitat loss due to deforestation and hunting for bushmeat. Conservation efforts such as protected areas need to be implemented if we want to ensure the survival of this species into the future.
