Their fur is usually gray or brown, with a distinctive white patch on their heads. They live in small groups, typically consisting of one male and several females. They feed mainly on leaves, fruits, flowers, buds and insects. The Capped Langur is an endangered species due to habitat loss from deforestation as well as hunting for bushmeat or the pet trade.
