Kirks Dik-dik Collection

Kirks Dik-dik (Madoqua kirkii) is a small antelope species of the Bovidae family, and is found in East Africa and can be identified by its small size, long ears, and pointed snout. A reddish-brown coat with white spots on its back, sides, and legs. Its horns are short and straight with sharp tips. The diet of the Kirks Dik-dik consists mainly of leaves and fruits from trees or shrubs as well as some grasses. They live in pairs or small groups and prefer to stay close to water sources such as rivers or streams, and are active during the day but will rest during midday heat when temperatures become too hot for them to handle, and are territorial animals that mark their territory with urine scent marks on trees or bushes near their home range boundaries.
