Seniculus Collection

Seniculus is a genus of Atelidae mammals in the family of primates, and are found in Central and South America, from Mexico to Bolivia, and are arboreal animals that feed on fruits, nuts, insects, and small vertebrates. Seniculus species have long tails that can be used for balance when climbing trees or jumping from branch to branch. They have large eyes and ears which help them detect predators or potential prey. Their fur is usually grayish-brown with white patches on their face and chest area. These animals live in groups of up to 10 individuals and communicate through vocalizations such as whistles, clicks, barks, and chirps and can important seed dispersers for many tree species in the tropical forests where they live; they also play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems by controlling insect populations.
