Brown Howler Collection

Brown Howler (Atelidae) is a species of mammal found in Central and South America, and are arboreal, meaning they live in trees, and are the largest of the New World monkeys. They have long prehensile tails that allow them to swing from branch to branch with ease. Their fur is typically brown or black, but can vary depending on their habitat. Brown Howlers have a loud call that can be heard up to 3 miles away. They feed mainly on leaves, flowers, fruits and nuts but will also eat insects when available. Brown Howlers live in groups of up to 20 individuals and communicate through vocalizations as well as scent marking. These animals play an important role in their ecosystems by dispersing seeds throughout the forest which helps promote plant diversity.
