Wobbegong Collection

The Wobbegong is a species of carpet shark found in the coastal waters of Australia and New Guinea and has a flattened body with a broad, flat head and an elongated snout. Its skin is covered in dermal denticles, giving it a rough texture that helps it blend into its environment. The Wobbegong has two dorsal fins, two pectoral fins, and five gill slits on each side of its body. Its coloration varies from light to dark brown with mottled patterns that help it camouflage itself among rocks and coral reefs. It feeds mainly on small fish, crustaceans, cephalopods, and other invertebrates found near the seafloor. They are grow up to 3 meters in length and is considered harmless to humans unless provoked or stepped on by accident.
