Cuckoo Wrasse Collection

The Cuckoo Wrasse (Labrus mixtus) is a species of wrasse native to the eastern Atlantic Ocean, and is found from Norway to Senegal, including the Mediterranean and Black Sea, slender body with an elongated snout and bright colors ranging from yellowish-green to blue-green with orange spots on its head and fins and can grow up to 30 cm in length and feeds mainly on small crustaceans, mollusks, worms, and other small invertebrates. This species is popular among aquarists due to its attractive coloration and peaceful nature. However, it can be quite territorial when kept in captivity so it should be housed with other similarly sized fish that are not aggressive towards it. They is an important commercial species for fisheries as well as being used for recreational fishing purposes.
